We are taking the word “chronic” back from the enemy by addressing spiritual and emotional roots to negative, undesirable physical symptoms and entangling patterns. Our ministry wants to solve the problem of chronic hopelessness by inviting entangled Christians to believe again in the abundant hope in God’s Kingdom.
By doing so, we need to address these problems:
1. People don’t believe their physical symptoms are connected to spiritual and emotional roots.
2. People don’t believe God can heal them of chronic issues, so they settle for coping.
3. Medical help offers band-aid solutions but never addresses the root cause of chronic symptoms.
To ensure we’re on track with God’s mission assignment for us, we‘ve decided to track these through two main measurables. We release monthly updates on our dashboard through our website and newsletter.
These are any times CH+H offers ministry to people, extending the chance for them to be healed. This could be in a session, at an event, or in our day-to-day comings and goings.
These are defined as significant moments of healing on one’s journey with Jesus. These are noted when we observe a shift happen in a person during a session, a prayer time, a moment of confession or epiphany.
As a ministry who creates culture, these are key characteristics and key actions we are determined to embed in all the work we do. These play out in how we run our clinic, the culture we set in our collective, and in the content we create.
We ask, "King Jesus, what do you want me to know? Do?"
We model and welcome truth telling in community.
We personally invite others to come and see what we're doing.
In 2021, God started knitting together our team with a shared passion to see people set free in Jesus' name. All of us (Jordan, Marie, Yvonne, & Melissa) were running separate inner healing businesses, but God put a growing desire in each of our hearts for partnership. In a world of self-made careers and in a city fueled by independence, we resolved to fight against the forces of separation and isolation, and we determined to live God’s Kingdom value of connection in community.
Marie and Jordan hosted their first Celebration Supper at their home. It was a beautiful gathering of food, fellowship, worship, prayer, and testimony. This one event encompassed the heart of the ministry by meeting in homes, bringing together Kingdom + Spirit community, standing against the enemy’s schemes, and ushering in the presence of God together.
We partnered to host our first Wholehearted Healer Social Hour + Workshop for a growing number of Kingdom-minded clinicians, therapists, and practitioners in our community. We’ve been gathering monthly ever since.
Our team hosted our very first conference together called “God Speaks” to encourage people to hear God’s voice and obey. This conference impacted more than a hundred people on the day of and continues to offer instruction and insight into hearing God’s voice. The event catalyzed our partnership.
Our team came under Jordan and Marie’s business “Chronic Hope and Healing, LLC” to officially partner to take “chronic” back from the enemy and offer people ongoing hope and healing together.
Yvonne preached at South Fellowship Church and announced her partnership with Chronic Hope + Healing’s pay-it-forward ministry model. This launched our fundraising campaign.
CH+H received our first large donation through New Horizons Foundation and started to believe this ministry could truly come alive and could provide for our financial needs, too.
CH+H hosted our first Celebration Feast where clients, friends, and guests delighted in delicious food, beautiful community, miraculous testimonies, and a young woman’s baptism. At this event, we announced pay-it-forward business model was running in full effect and clients could meet with us regardless of how much they could afford.
CH+H hosted our first Awaken Gathering to welcome people into the presence of God through worship and prayer. Over the summer, this became a space for community to connect with God and one another.
